Spatzwear Thermoz2 Winter Gloves
SPATZ THRMOZ2 – DEEP WINTER PROTECTION. BUILT FOR THE NORTHERN GRIND.
Freezing temperatures. Relentless winds. Long winter miles. No excuses.
At HYPT Bike Performance, we know that winter cycling in the North East isn't for everyone. Sub-zero mornings, icy headwinds, freezing rain and exposed roads that offer nowhere to hide. When the temperature drops and the conditions turn brutal, keeping your hands warm isn't just about comfort. It's about maintaining control, confidence and performance when the miles start to hurt.
Introducing the Spatz Thrmoz2 – the next generation of deep winter cycling gloves, developed alongside a double Olympic Champion and battle-tested by the Alpecin-Deceuninck Pro Cycling Team through some of the toughest racing conditions in Northern Europe.
These aren't ordinary winter gloves. They're serious cold-weather equipment, designed for riders who keep training long after everyone else has packed their bikes away.
DEEP WINTER WARMTH. TOTAL CONTROL.
When winter takes hold in the North East, standard cycling gloves often aren't enough. Whether you're heading out before sunrise, grinding into a bitter coastal headwind or tackling exposed moorland roads with temperatures hovering around freezing, your hands need protection that works as hard as you do.
Designed to perform in temperatures from approximately 5°C down to -3°C, the Thrmoz2 deliver serious insulation without the unnecessary bulk that can compromise your grip and control.
Built using premium four-way stretch thermal fabric with a soft fleece lining, they provide exceptional warmth while maintaining the flexibility and feel needed for confident braking, shifting and bike handling.
The main glove construction also incorporates a waterproof, breathable membrane, providing additional protection against wet conditions. Although not designed specifically as a dedicated rain glove, the Thrmoz2 are more than capable of dealing with the unpredictable mix of cold, wind and rain that defines a proper northern winter.
TWO WINDPROOF COVERS. ONE SERIOUS WINTER GLOVE.
The latest Thrmoz2 take the original patented Spatz design even further, introducing an upgraded dual fold-out windproof cover system for the AW25-26 season.
Hidden neatly within the back of the glove, two protective wind-blocking shells can be deployed when conditions deteriorate, creating an additional barrier against freezing winds and bitter temperatures.
When the pace increases, the road starts climbing or you need greater finger movement, simply fold the covers away to restore full five-finger control.
It's a clever, adaptable system designed for real-world winter riding, where conditions can change dramatically over the course of a single training session.
No stopping to swap gloves. No unnecessary compromises. Just dependable protection that adapts to the ride.
BUILT TO KEEP THE COLD OUT.
One of the most important features of the Thrmoz2 is the extended thermal cuff, designed to provide additional insulation around the wrist and help maintain warmth in the hands and fingers.
A premium YKK wrist zipper with an easy-pull gripper makes getting the gloves on and off straightforward, even when your hands are cold. The close-fitting cuff also allows the gloves to integrate neatly with your winter jacket, helping prevent cold air from finding its way inside.
It's the kind of detail that makes a real difference when you're several hours into a winter ride and the temperature refuses to rise.
GRIP, DURABILITY AND PERFORMANCE WHERE IT MATTERS.
Cold-weather protection means very little if you lose confidence on the bike. That's why the Thrmoz2 have been developed to maintain a secure connection with your handlebars, brakes and shifters, even when conditions are far from ideal.
Tough epoxy gel grip zones across the palm, thumb and index finger provide reliable contact and control, while reinforced panels in high-wear areas improve durability through countless winter miles.
A discreet index finger opening allows quick access to your phone or cycling computer without removing your gloves, making those mid-ride route checks and training adjustments far less frustrating in freezing conditions.
Subtle reflective logos and detailing add visibility during dark early starts and fading winter afternoons, while the understated graphics ensure the gloves complement your kit without unnecessary distractions.
Every detail has been developed with one purpose in mind – keeping you comfortable, protected and in control when winter riding gets serious.
PROVEN IN THE PRO PELOTON. READY FOR THE NORTH EAST.
Developed with elite athletes and tested through the demanding conditions of Northern European professional racing, the Thrmoz2 bring genuine race-proven technology to everyday winter training.
From long endurance rides and freezing club runs to tough winter training blocks, these gloves are designed for cyclists who understand that consistency doesn't disappear when the seasons change.
They're made for the riders who keep turning the pedals when the roads are empty, the wind is howling and the temperature has dropped below zero.
HYPT BIKE PERFORMANCE – NO OFF SEASON.
We know the riders these gloves are built for.
The ones setting off in darkness before the working day begins. The ones battling crosswinds across exposed northern roads. The ones putting in the hard winter miles because they know that the fitness earned in January makes the difference when racing starts in spring.
Because up here, winter isn't something we wait to finish. It's something we train through.
The Spatz Thrmoz2 deliver the warmth, protection and versatility needed to keep your hands comfortable and your focus exactly where it belongs – on the road ahead.
No frozen fingers. No unnecessary kit changes. No excuses when the temperature drops.
Just proper deep winter performance equipment for riders who refuse to let the weather decide when they ride.
