The Factor ONE SpongeBob Edition is about as far from a novelty bike as you can get. Beneath the outrageous artwork sits Factor’s uncompromising aero road platform — a WorldTour-developed machine engineered around aerodynamic efficiency, high-speed stability and outright race performance.

The ONE’s defining feature is its Bayonet Fork and Chin Fairing system. Rather than simply minimising frontal area, the design actively manages what happens to the airflow once it reaches the front of the bike. The wide fork and forward-projecting chin fairing control the turbulent air spilling from the front tyre and fork crown, helping maintain cleaner flow through the rest of the bike and preserving the aero advantage further into crosswinds.

This is aero engineering with a purpose: keep the air attached, keep the watts moving forward.

WORLD TOUR GEOMETRY

The ONE is built around the demands of modern professional road racing, where rider position has evolved towards narrower handlebars, more forward saddle positions and shorter cranks. Factor developed the chassis geometry around those changes to maintain the balance between front-end weighting, steering response and high-speed stability.

Even across the smaller frame sizes, Factor maintains the same steering geometry as the larger sizes — an unusual approach for a high-performance road platform and one that keeps the ONE's handling characteristics remarkably consistent throughout the range.

THE SPONGEBOB FACTOR

Then things get weird.

Created in collaboration with Mighty Jaxx, the SpongeBob Edition takes its visual inspiration from the XXRAY PLUS SpongeBob SquarePants collectible, translating its anatomical artwork onto Factor's most advanced road chassis. The result is deliberately surreal: serious WorldTour-level engineering wrapped in one of the most recognisable characters in animation.

It's not a decal slapped onto an existing frame. The custom graphic design is integrated into the complete ONE platform, making the bike as much a piece of collectible design as it is a piece of race equipment.

NO JOKE UNDER THE SKIN

The ONE SpongeBob Edition is available with builds ranging from Factor's Premium Package through to SRAM RED with Power Meter, Shimano Dura-Ace and Campagnolo Super Record 13, with complete bikes starting from €8,499.

But whatever groupset sits on top, the defining feature remains the same:
