The Colnago G5-X SRAM Force XPLR E1 brings Italian performance engineering to a new generation of gravel riding. Developed as an entirely new platform rather than simply an update to the G4-X, the G5-X is designed to deliver speed, control and versatility across everything from fast gravel racing to technical trails and long-distance adventures.

At the heart of the G5-X is a monocoque carbon fibre frameset with geometry developed specifically for modern gravel riding. A longer wheelbase, revised head angle and lower bottom bracket create a planted and confidence-inspiring feel when speeds increase or the surface becomes unpredictable, while carefully considered steering geometry keeps the bike responsive through tighter sections.

Tyre clearance has increased considerably, with the G5-X accepting tyres up to 53mm nominal width. The additional volume allows riders to run lower pressures for increased traction, comfort and control while maintaining excellent rolling efficiency across rough surfaces. This SRAM Force XPLR model comes equipped with 700x50 Pirelli Cinturato Gravel RH tubeless-ready tyres.

The carbon frame has been engineered to balance efficient power transfer with the compliance needed for long days on rough terrain. Whether accelerating out of a corner, climbing on loose surfaces or spending hours riding broken gravel, the G5-X has been designed to remain responsive without sacrificing the comfort and control required from a modern gravel bike.

SRAM Force XPLR E1 1x13 electronic shifting provides a clean, gravel-focused drivetrain with a 40T chainring paired to a wide-ranging 10-46T cassette. The thirteen closely considered ratios provide the range needed for steep off-road climbing while retaining useful progression through the gears when the speed increases.

The Force XPLR build is paired with Vision TC45 carbon wheels. Their 45mm deep tubeless-ready carbon rims combine aerodynamic performance with the durability and versatility required for gravel riding, making them equally suited to fast racing and long-distance exploration.

Colnago's CC.01 Wide integrated carbon cockpit completes the performance-focused front end. Developed specifically for gravel, the increased flare provides a wider and more controlled position in the drops while maintaining a clean, fully integrated appearance.

Practicality has also been built directly into the G5-X. Integrated downtube storage provides a discreet place to carry essential tools and spares, while six mounting positions provide options for additional bottles, luggage and cargo. Three Fidlock Twist Lock mounts are included, giving riders another secure bottle-mounting option for rough terrain.

A round 27.2mm Colnago carbon seatpost adds compliance and also opens the possibility of fitting compatible aftermarket dropper or suspension seatposts. At the rear, the G5-X uses the UDH standard for improved compatibility and easier replacement when travelling.

The result is a gravel bike without a narrow definition. The Colnago G5-X Force XPLR E1 can be built around outright speed for gravel racing, equipped for demanding all-day adventures or simply ridden wherever the route leads. It combines the performance character expected from Colnago with the clearance, stability, storage and versatility demanded by today's gravel riders.
