The Basso Palta III Record X 13x Wireless is a high-performance gravel bike built for riders who want road-bike efficiency without putting a ceiling on where the route can go. Basso has refined the Palta platform around three priorities: efficient power transfer, confident handling and genuine long-distance comfort.

At its heart is Basso's lightweight carbon Palta III frame, weighing just 970g in size M, paired with a 385g carbon fork. The frame has been developed with increased lateral stiffness for sharper acceleration, while its revised carbon layup, 3B Clamp System Gen II and Diamante seatpost help take the edge off rough gravel.

This Carbon Chrome Black build adds Campagnolo Record X Wireless 13-speed 1x shifting, giving the bike a clean, cable-free drivetrain with a broad 10–48T cassette range. The 40T chainring and 10–48T cassette provide a useful spread from high-speed road and hardpack riding through to steep, loose climbs.

The result is a gravel bike particularly well suited to riders looking for a fast, premium machine for gravel racing, rapid mixed-surface riding and long-distance adventures where speed matters as much as capability.

Performance & Ride Character

The Palta III is designed to avoid the traditional gravel-bike compromise between speed and comfort. The stiffened bottom bracket and rear triangle are intended to make hard accelerations and climbing efforts feel immediate, while the tuned front end and seatpost system provide more compliance when the surface deteriorates.

For performance-oriented riding, the 40 x 10T top gear gives the Palta plenty of speed on tarmac and fast hardpack, while the 40 x 48T climbing gear provides a suitably low ratio for sustained off-road gradients. Campagnolo's 13-speed 1x configuration also keeps the cockpit uncluttered and the shifting system completely wireless.

The Miche Graff Aero 48 Tubeless wheelset and Schwalbe G-One R Pro tyres complement the frame's racing bias, while the substantial tyre clearance means the bike can be adapted with wider rubber when grip and comfort become more important than outright rolling speed.

The Palta III also retains plenty of practicality, with integrated downtube storage, multiple mounting options and UDH compatibility. That makes it capable of moving beyond race-day duties into fastpacking and long-distance gravel without losing its performance-focused character.
