Some wheelsets promise speed. Others arrive having already proved it.
The new ENVE SES 6.7 PRO is now at HYPT Bike Performance – and available in stock now from the North East’s only ENVE PRO Store.
This isn't simply an updated SES 6.7. It is ENVE taking one of its fastest wheel platforms and pushing it further: lighter hubs, a completely redesigned aerodynamic profile and a new 59mm / 65mm rim combination created for outright race performance.
For riders building a bike where compromise isn't really part of the specification, this is the wheelset we've been waiting for.
Developed at the Very Top of the Sport
There aren't many better development environments than professional racing.
Before its official release, the new-generation SES 6.7 PRO had already been raced at WorldTour level, with the prototype wheelset appearing beneath Tadej Pogačar during victories at Strade Bianche and Milan–San Remo.
That matters.
Because the SES 6.7 PRO hasn't been designed simply to produce an impressive set of numbers on a product page. It has been developed around the demands of riders looking for speed when the racing is at its hardest.
The resulting wheelset combines deep-section aerodynamics with a complete weight of just 1,495g including tape and valves.

ENVE SES 6.7 Pro Carbon Road Wheelset
59mm Front. 65mm Rear. Built for Speed.
At the heart of the new SES 6.7 PRO is ENVE's latest staggered rim profile.
The front uses a 59mm depth, while the rear increases to 65mm.
Why different depths?
Because the two wheels have different jobs.
The front wheel has a major influence on handling and stability as wind conditions change, while the rear can take advantage of additional depth to maximise aerodynamic efficiency.
ENVE's SES philosophy has long treated the front and rear wheels as individual aerodynamic components rather than simply making two identical rims.
The 6.7 PRO takes that thinking into ENVE's latest generation of racing wheels.
And importantly for racers, the new 59/65mm configuration is fully compliant with current UCI regulations.
Designed Around the Tyres We Actually Ride
Modern race bikes have changed.
Tyres have become wider, pressures have dropped and both aerodynamics and rolling resistance are increasingly considered as one complete system.
So ENVE hasn't designed the SES 6.7 PRO rim in isolation.
The new profile uses a 22.5mm internal rim width and has been aerodynamically developed around modern performance tyres, particularly a 28mm tyre profile.
That wheel-and-tyre relationship is important. Rather than simply fitting a wider tyre to an old aerodynamic shape, the complete system has been designed to work together.
For the rider, the goal is straightforward: less drag, lower rolling resistance, predictable handling and more speed from the watts you're already producing.
ENVE INNERDRIVE PRO
The PRO designation isn't just about the carbon rims.
At the centre of the SES 6.7 PRO you'll find ENVE INNERDRIVE PRO hubs, featuring an ultralight hub shell, 40-tooth PRO ratchet system and ENVE PRO ceramic bearings.
Compared with ENVE's Premium INNERDRIVE system, the PRO hub saves a further 60 grams.
They're paired with lightweight Alpina Ultralite spokes to create a wheelset weighing a claimed 1,495g – an impressive figure for a wheelset with this much aerodynamic depth.
Deep Wheels Without the Usual Penalty
This is perhaps what makes the SES 6.7 PRO particularly interesting to us at HYPT.
A deep wheel is easy to understand on a flat road with a tailwind.
Real riding in the North East is rarely quite that simple.
Our roads roll. The wind changes. Climbs interrupt fast sections and exposed roads can quickly punish a wheel that looks impressive on paper but becomes hard work when conditions deteriorate.
The SES 6.7 PRO is designed to combine the aerodynamic advantage you'd expect from a deep race wheel with a weight and front/rear profile that makes sense for much more than perfectly flat roads.
At 690g for the front and 805g for the rear, these aren't wheels that need to be saved for one particular type of ride.
They're built to race.
Fast club rides. Road racing. Triathlon. Big solo efforts. Rolling terrain. Fast descents.
Or simply making an already exceptional bike significantly faster.
Who Is the SES 6.7 PRO For?
Let's be clear: this isn't a wheelset aimed at someone looking for the cheapest way to shave a few grams from their bike.
The SES 6.7 PRO sits at the very top end of ENVE's performance range.
It's for the rider who wants a genuine flagship wheelset.
If you're building a no-compromise race bike, upgrading a premium road bike or looking for one deep-section wheelset capable of being ridden across a huge range of fast road conditions, the 6.7 PRO deserves serious consideration.
And if your bike already has Dura-Ace, RED, Super Record or another top-tier build hanging from it, these are the sort of wheels capable of completing the package.
